Aidan’s journey began as a young entrepreneur, taking on the challenge of running his family’s dental supply business. Over two decades, he spearheaded the company’s transformation, significantly increasing turnover and profitability by 25 times, growing the team from six to 30 employees, and securing major distribution rights with global and European brands. His leadership led the company to become a market leader in Ireland, with a reputation for innovation, such as being the first dental company in Ireland to computerise operations and achieving ISO 9000 certification.
However, the landscape changed dramatically following the Maastricht Treaty, which reshaped the industry and introduced new competition. In response to these challenges, Aidan brought new investors into the business, navigating through these complex changes before eventually transitioning out of the family business.
This pivotal moment in his career, while challenging, led Aidan to reflect deeply on his values and purpose, sparking his transition into coaching and leadership development. He believed that true leadership required more than business acumen—it demanded emotional intelligence, resilience, and lifelong learning. This belief led him to achieve a Business Masters and earn his ICF PCC accreditation, positioning him as an authority on executive coaching, emotional intelligence, and leadership development.
